QS Engineer Jobs in Dubai, UAE at Sino Facade
• Quantity Calculation Verification: Proficient in reviewing construction drawings to accurately calculate, tally and summarize engineering quantities of various projects; check detailed engineering quantities item by item against construction drawings and tender lists, precisely identify quantity discrepancies between lists and drawings, sort out causes of deviations and compile detailed verification reports to guarantee error-free quantity data and furnish accurate data support for quotation and bidding.
• Tender Document Preparation: Take full charge of compiling full-process bidding documents for overseas engineering projects, independently drafting, formatting, consolidating and proofreading commercial and technical bids; comply strictly with local Dubai bidding regulations and tender document requirements to complete full sets of materials including bid quotations, technical proposals, construction organization plans, qualification documents and contract clauses, ensuring standardized, complete and compliant tender documents.
• Bidding Project Follow-up: Participate in the whole bidding process of local engineering projects in Dubai, responsible for interpreting tender documents, defining bidding strategies, conducting quotation estimation and cost analysis; track bidding progress, fulfill milestone requirements, coordinate document submission, inquiry response and clarification to effectively control commercial bidding risks and improve project winning rate.
• Commercial Document Management: File and archive construction drawings, quantity bills, bidding documents, quotation papers, tender announcements and other commercial archives; conduct market research on local prices of building materials, labor and subcontracting in Dubai and update the pricing database to support project quotation and cost control.
• Liaison and Coordination: Communicate with domestic technical and procurement teams as well as local developers, general contractors and consulting firms in Dubai to synchronize project commercial information, quantity data and bidding-related affairs, and assist with bid inquiries, commercial negotiation and preliminary business communication.
• Professional Competencies: Capable of reading construction drawings for architecture, electromechanical and decoration works, well-versed in quantity calculation standards to accurately check quantity gaps between tender lists and drawings; competent in independently completing full commercial and technical bid preparation with comprehensive mastery of the entire bidding procedure; skilled in CAD, Glodon, Office and other quantity-calculating and office software.
• Language Proficiency: English proficiency required; Chinese language skill is preferred.
• Comprehensive Qualities: Meticulous and responsible at work with sharp data awareness, strong stress resistance, overall planning capability and execution; able to follow team arrangements and possess excellent teamwork and cross-department communication skills.
