Job Summary
The QCI Structural Inspector will be responsible for performing quality control inspection activities related to structural fabrication, erection, assembly, and installation works within Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, and Industrial projects. The role involves ensuring all structural activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, international standards, and client quality requirements. The inspector will monitor fabrication and erection quality while supporting project quality assurance and safety compliance activities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct inspection activities for structural fabrication and erection works
- Verify materials, dimensions, alignment, and structural installations as per approved drawings and specifications
- Perform visual inspections for structural steel fabrication, welding, bolting, and assembly activities
- Ensure compliance with approved ITPs, quality procedures, and project standards
- Review structural drawings, fabrication details, welding procedures, and inspection documentation
- Conduct surveillance inspections and identify non-conformities during project execution
- Raise RFIs and coordinate inspections with client representatives
- Prepare inspection reports, NCRs, and quality documentation
- Monitor erection activities, structural alignment, and installation quality
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams, construction teams, and engineering departments
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and project quality requirements
- Maintain accurate inspection records and reports
Mandatory Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering
- Experience in structural inspection activities within Oil & Gas, EPC, or Industrial projects
- Strong understanding of structural fabrication, erection, and inspection procedures
- Knowledge of international structural codes and standards
- Ability to interpret structural drawings and technical documentation
- Good reporting, communication, and coordination skills
- Previous Saudi Aramco experience preferred but not mandatory
