Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Inspector to ensure that all wood products meet required quality standards before delivery. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods in a woodworking/joinery factory.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming raw materials such as timber, MDF, plywood, veneers, and laminates.
Monitor production processes (cutting, machining, assembly, sanding, finishing) to ensure quality standards are maintained. Conduct in-process and final inspections of furniture, cabinets, doors, and joinery items.
Check dimensions, alignment, finishing quality, color consistency, and workmanship.
Identify defects and non-conformities, and report them to production teams. Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications. Maintain inspection reports, quality records, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and client requirements. Coordinate with production, supervisors, and project teams for quality improvements.
Conduct factory audits and assist in implementing quality procedures.
Requirements:
Proven experience in quality control in a woodworking/joinery/furniture factory (typically 2–5 years or more).
Strong knowledge of wood materials, finishes, and production processes.
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer skills (Excel, reporting).
Understanding of quality standards and inspection procedures.
Required Qualifications: Diploma or certification in Quality Control, Wood Technology, or related field.
Experience in interior fit-out or furniture manufacturing.
Knowledge of quality systems (ISO standards and fire rated doors standards).
