The role of the
Quality Control
/ Project Engineer is to:
Liaise with Customers / Customer Inspectors on
quality control
requirements.
Manage 3rd party inspection / certification requirements.
Support the QHSE Manager on project-related activities.
Manage individual work packages as allocated by the QHSE Manager.
Qualifications & Certifications
University Degree or Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with 10 – 12 Years of Work Experience OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 15 – 20 Years of Work Experience, plus the following certifications:
Certified Welding Inspector – TWI CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI, with at least 5 years of experience in inspection & monitoring welding activities.
Certified Painting Inspector – NS 476, Inspector level II / NACE coating inspector level II / ICorr inspector level II / BGAS Grade 2 or SSPC inspector Level 2, with at least 5 years of experience in inspection & monitoring painting activities.
Thorough working knowledge of international standards for Pressure Vessels, Pressure Piping, and Structural (Skid) Welding & Painting.
Experience in fabrication, installation, and alignment of equipment (stationary & rotary), Pressure Vessels & Pressure Piping on modular Structural Skids in fabrication yards or sites.
Experience reviewing vendor documents and attending inspections per project quality requirements.
Experience preparing quality procedures and inspection & testing reports for fabrication, installation, and painting activities.
