QA/QC Engineer – Procurement Jobs in Ras al-Khaimah at METALFAB MIDDLE EAST FZ LLC
We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer – Procurement to ensure that all purchased materials, equipment and subcontracted services comply with project specifications, client requirement and applicable industry standards before entering the fabrication process.
The ideal candidate will have experience in oil & gas fabrication, pressure vessel manufacturing, vendor inspection and procurement quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Review purchase orders, specifications and quality requirements before supplier release.
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on quality systems, certifications and performance history.
- Review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and vendor quality documentation.
- Conduct or coordinate source inspections at supplier facilities for critical materials and equipment.
- Verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs), Certificates of Conformance (CoC) and mill certificates against project requirements.
- Review vendor documentation packages including welding procedures, NDT reports, and calibration certificates.
- Raise, monitor and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) related to supplied materials.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering and Project teams to resolve supplier quality issues.
- Support audits and maintain procurement quality records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 3–7 years of QA/QC experience in oil & gas fabrication, pressure vessels, procurement quality or vendor inspection.
- Experience with supplier audits and source inspection activities.
