Position: QA QC Engineer (Fit-Out)
I’m working with an established Interior Fit-Out Contractor in Abu Dhabi to recruit a QA/QC Engineer.
This is not a typical QA/QC role focused purely on documentation, inspections and approvals. We’re looking for someone with a strong technical understanding of interior fit-out materials, installation methods and finishing standards who can identify quality issues through experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage all QA/QC activities across high-end interior fit-out projects.
- Conduct inspections throughout the construction process, ensuring all works comply with project specifications and quality standards.
- Review and inspect finishing works including joinery, glass, stone, marble, gypsum ceilings, flooring, painting, metalwork and ironmongery.
- Assess workmanship, identify defects and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate WIRs, MIRs, NCRs, inspections and consultant approvals.
- Monitor subcontractor quality and ensure compliance with approved materials and installation methods.
- Lead snagging, de-snagging and final handover inspections.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ QA/QC experience within an Interior Fit-Out Contractor in the UAE.
- Strong technical knowledge of interior fit-out materials and finishing packages.
- Practical understanding of material specifications, durability, installation methods and quality standards.
- Experience inspecting joinery, glass, marble, stone, ceilings, flooring, painting systems and ironmongery.
- Ability to identify defects, assess workmanship and make technical quality decisions on site.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures including WIRs, MIRs, NCRs and project documentation.
- Previous experience delivering high-end commercial, hospitality, residential or mixed-use fit-out projects.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with consultants, subcontractors and project teams.
Budget: AED 15,000
