Role Description:
We are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support our roads, bridges, and infrastructure
projects. The role focuses on ensuring that all construction activities meet the
required quality standards and comply with local authority regulations, including
DMT, ADM, and TAQA WS. The QA/QC Engineer will play a key role in maintaining
quality systems, ensuring compliance with approved specifications, ITPs, and Client
and ADQCC requirements, and supporting the delivery of high-quality infrastructure
works.
Key and responsibilities:
• QA/QC Documentation & Planning: Developing and updating Project Quality
Plans (PQP), Method Statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Site Inspections & Quality Control: Conducting routine site inspections to ensure
compliance with approved drawings and project specifications.
• Material Approval & Testing: Reviewing material submittals (concrete, asphalt,
steel, pipework, etc.) in line with ASTM, BS, and ADQCC standards, and supervising
laboratory tests before and during installation.
• Non-Conformance Management (NCRs): Identifying, recording, and monitoring
non-conformance issues, and coordinating with construction teams to implement
corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordination with Authorities & Consultants: Liaising with the Engineer/Consultant
for inspections, Work Inspection Requests (WIRs), audits, and document approvals.
• Documentation Control: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of inspection
reports, material test results, and certificates for the final project handover dossier.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensuring all activities comply with Abu Dhabi safety, quality,
and environmental regulations.
• Project Handover: Following up on all project documentation through to final
handover to the relevant authorities.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in roads, infrastructure, and bridges
projects.
• ISO 9001:2015 certification is preferred.
• Strong experience and knowledge in conducting internal quality audits.
Skills &Competencies:
• In-depth understanding of construction processes, methods, materials, and testing
procedures.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO 9001
and relevant international standards.
• Proven ability to identify defects and non-conformances, and implement corrective
and preventive actions.
• Proficiency in QA/QC tools, reporting software, and MS Office.
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor or similar quality certifications (e.g., ASQ, CQE) is
required.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and
recommend effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills; English is mandatory, and Arabic is an added
advantage for team and corporate coordination.
