Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and experienced QA/QC Engineer – Civil / Construction to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all site activities, materials, work procedures, inspections, and testing activities are carried out in accordance with the approved project specifications, drawings, method statements, Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plan, and applicable standards.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in construction quality control, good knowledge of civil works, construction materials, inspection procedures, third-party testing coordination, and UAE project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Study project specifications in detail, including the complete scope of work, materials, execution methods, inspections, tests, and project quality requirements.
- Review approved project documents such as method statements, Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plan, drawings, and other technical documents prior to the commencement of site works.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plan, approved drawings, project specifications, and method statements.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in a controlled, systematic, and approved manner.
- Conduct inspections and testing of materials, equipment, and construction processes as required.
- Coordinate and communicate with third-party independent testing laboratories and inspection companies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable project specifications, codes, standards, and regulations.
- Identify quality issues, non-conformities, or deviations from approved requirements and coordinate corrective actions promptly.
- Prepare, maintain, and update quality documentation, inspection records, test reports, checklists, and quality-related reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to address and resolve quality-related concerns.
- Ensure that inspections are carried out before, during, and after construction activities as per approved ITP requirements.
- Raise and follow up on inspection requests, material inspection requests, and testing requirements.
- Monitor material delivery, storage, and usage to ensure compliance with approved material submittals and specifications.
- Support the preparation and closing of NCRs, site observations, and quality comments.
- Train and guide site personnel regarding quality standards, approved procedures, and proper work execution methods.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all QA/QC records for project handover and audit purposes.
- Perform any other QA/QC-related duties assigned by management or the project team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in QA/QC roles within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in site inspections and office QA/QC work, quality control procedures, and construction documentation.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, methods, equipment, and site execution procedures.
- Familiarity with Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, method statements, material submittals, and approved drawings.
- Knowledge of relevant construction codes, standards, specifications, and UAE authority requirements.
- Ability to identify quality issues and coordinate corrective actions effectively.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, third-party laboratories, and internal project teams.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple inspections and documentation requirements.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in piling, shoring, infrastructure, or civil construction projects is an advantage.
- Experience dealing with consultants, third-party testing companies, and project quality audits is preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,500.00 – AED5,500.00 per month
