Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Python, Django, and AI Developer to support the development, enhancement, and integration of enterprise healthcare applications. The candidate will work on healthcare system integrations, radiology workflow automation, AI-assisted tools, dashboards, APIs, and secure web-based platforms.

The role requires strong backend development experience, good understanding of healthcare IT workflows, and the ability to build reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using Python and Django.
• Build REST APIs using Django REST Framework.
• Design and manage database models, migrations, and business logic.
• Develop secure, scalable, and production-ready backend services.
• Troubleshoot and optimize application performance.

Healthcare Application Development

• Support the development and enhancement of healthcare workflow applications.
• Build modules related to order management, reporting, integration logs, workflow monitoring, and operational dashboards.
• Develop tools for message tracking, error handling, audit trails, and system monitoring.
• Support role-based access control and user permission management.

AI Development

• Develop AI-assisted features for workflow optimization and decision support.
• Work on AI models, prompts, and automation logic for:
• Workflow prioritization
• Data analysis and prediction
• Operational automation
• Integrate AI services using cloud or on-premise models such as:
• Azure AI Foundry
• OpenAI APIs
• LLaMA
• Ollama
• vLLM
• Build safe AI workflows with proper validation, auditability, and human review.

Healthcare Integration

• Work with healthcare data standards such as:
• HL7
• DICOM
• Modality Worklist
• REST APIs
• MLLP
• Support integration workflows between HIS, RIS, PACS, EMPI, reporting systems, and other healthcare platforms.
• Understand patient, order, accession, study, and report lifecycle workflows.

Database and Data Management

• Work with PostgreSQL and relational database design.
• Write optimized queries and maintain data integrity.
• Support audit logging, reporting, reconciliation, and data validation.
• Handle sensitive healthcare data securely and in compliance with organizational policies.

Deployment and Support

• Support deployment on Windows or Linux servers.
• Work with GitHub, version control, and release management.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support.
• Document technical designs, APIs, workflows, and support procedures.

 

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Python.
• Strong experience with Django.
• Experience with Django REST Framework.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Good understanding of REST API design.
• Experience with Git and GitHub.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or frontend frameworks is a plus.
• Experience with background jobs, scheduled tasks, or message queues is preferred.
• Ability to read logs, debug issues, and optimize performance.

 

AI / Machine Learning Skills

• Experience with AI APIs or machine learning frameworks.
• Understanding of NLP, prompt engineering, and LLM integration.
• Experience with tools such as OpenAI, Azure AI, LLaMA, Ollama, or vLLM is preferred.
• Ability to design AI workflows with human review and validation.
• Understanding of data privacy and safe AI usage in healthcare.

 

Healthcare IT Knowledge

Preferred experience or knowledge in:

• Radiology Information Systems
• PACS
• EPIC Radiant
• GE RIS/PACS
• HL7 ADT, ORM, ORU, ORR messages
• DICOM and Modality Worklist
• EMPI workflows
• Radiology reporting systems
• Healthcare integration engines such as Mirth Connect

 

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with clinical, technical, and vendor teams.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to understand healthcare workflows and convert them into technical solutions.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
• Attention to detail, especially when working with patient data and integration workflows.

 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Python/Django development.
• Experience in healthcare IT or radiology systems is highly preferred.
• Experience in AI development or AI integration is an advantage.
