We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Executive with a mechanical engineering background to oversee our supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing and procurement of ship spare parts and materials from trusted suppliers.
Evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, service, and delivery performance.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
Analyzing market trends to identify opportunities and risks in the supply chain.
Collaborating with engineering and production teams to determine material requirements and specifications.
Preparing and processing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Monitoring inventory levels and managing stock replenishment to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Resolving procurement-related issues such as delivery delays, quality discrepancies, and invoice discrepancies.
Conducting regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements.
Collaborating with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely payment of suppliers.
Maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
Staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in ship spare parts and materials.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the maritime or ship spare parts industry.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical components and ship spare parts.
Excellent
