JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Technical Office Engineer acts as the Project Analyst, Estimator, and Planner of ArabExpo with constant coordination with the Account Management and Project Management teams of the company
MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. PROJECT ANALYST
· Collect and analyze project data, including design & technical drawings, budgetary information, resource allocation, project timelines, and performance metrics.
· Create detailed reports and dashboards to communicate project status, progress, and key performance indicators to stakeholders.
· Collaborate with Project owners to review project plans, schedules, and resource allocation to identify potential areas for improvement or optimization.
· Assist in developing project timelines and milestones.
· Work closely with project managers and the finance team to monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to the budget.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to optimize project spending.
· Support the identification of project risks and assist in developing risk mitigation plans.
· Monitor and evaluate risk factors throughout the project lifecycle.
· Maintain comprehensive and organized project documentation, including meeting minutes, project changes, and communication records.
· Ensure that all project-related documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible to relevant team members.
· Identify areas for process improvement within the project management and execution workflows.
· Collaborate with project teams to implement best practices and streamline project processes.
· Facilitate communication between different project teams and stakeholders.
2. ESTIMATOR
· Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of work and project requirements; Analyze construction materials, labor, and equipment costs to prepare accurate estimates for fit-out projects.
· Develop and maintain a comprehensive cost database containing accurate and up-to-date information on materials, labor rates, and other cost factors.
· Analyze cost data to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options without compromising project quality.
· Assist the project management team in tracking project costs against the budget throughout the project lifecycle.
· Evaluate project risks that may impact the budget and provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
· Maintain a database of suppliers and subcontractors and update their pricing regularly.
3. PLANNER
· Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules in coordination with the project management team, considering resource allocation, task sequencing, and critical milestones.
· Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time.
· Collaborate with procurement and operations admin to allocate necessary resources (both human and material) for each project, considering project requirements and budgetary constraints.
· Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
· Assist in the development of project budgets and monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest alternatives without compromising project quality.
· Establish and implement quality control processes to ensure that projects meet the highest standards.
· Conduct inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and quality requirements.
· Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains in the planning process.
· Implement best practices and develop standardized templates for future projects.
4. MANPOWER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
· Conduct analysis and ongoing assessment of the effective and efficient utilization of internal personnel.
· Supervise the deployment of external manpower resources dedicated to production.
· Promptly adjust or modify allocations when surplus manpower is identified.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Criteria
Education
Field of Study
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Relevant Experience
· Proven experience of at least 4 years in fit-out project planning and scheduling within the construction, build-up, or interior design industry, or
· of at least 4 years in project analysis, data management, or project management within the construction, build-up, or interior design industry.
· Wit proven experience of at least 2 years as an Estimator in the construction, build-up, or fit-out industry.
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred.
SOE Membership/certification is mandatory
Must have civil engineering degree.
· Experience working with project management software and tools.
Skills
· Proficiency with project management methodologies and tools.
· In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building systems.
· Proficiency in quantity take-off techniques and estimating software/tools.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong mathematical skills to prepare accurate cost estimates.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
· Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
· Proficiency in MS Excel and estimating software.
· Familiarity with cost estimating and budgeting processes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 – AED5,000.00 per month
