Job Purpose
The Purchase Executive will be responsible for managing procurement activities related to materials, equipment, and services required for traffic projects. The role involves vendor management, cost negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery of materials in compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for project-related materials and construction materials.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and agreements in line with project needs.
- Negotiate with vendors to obtain the best price, quality, and delivery terms.
- Coordinate with the engineering, project, and site teams to forecast and fulfill material requirements.
- Maintain and update supplier databases, price records, and procurement documentation.
- Track and monitor deliveries to ensure on-time supply.
- Liaise with logistics teams for customs clearance and local delivery arrangements.
- Support cost control initiatives by identifying opportunities for savings and process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in construction, infrastructure.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
