Job Title: Senior Substation Protection & Control Engineer (380/400kV)
Location: Saudi Arabia (Jeddah/Riyadh/Dammam/Abha)
Experience: 8+ Years
Contract Type: 6-month Renewable
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review Protection & Control (CRP), Substation Automation System (SAS), RTU, LV Auxiliary Systems, and Telecom interfaces for 380/400kV substations.
- Prepare engineering drawings, BOQs, I/O mapping, cable engineering, and interface designs.
- Perform CT/VT sizing, protection relay settings, coordination, tripping analysis, load flow, and short-circuit studies.
- Review secondary engineering for AIS/GIS substations, including major equipment and condition monitoring systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot SAS/RTU databases and work with numerical protection relays, BCUs, and IEDs.
- Use engineering tools such as ETAP, DIgSILENT, CANECO, or equivalent.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Saudi Council of Engineers approval and valid Saudi Iqama.
- 8+ years of experience in EHV (380/400kV) substation Protection & Control engineering.
- Hands-on experience with SEC projects, EPC environments, and Secondary Engineering (CRP, SAS, Telecom, Aux Systems, HVDC).
- Strong knowledge of protection systems, SAS/SCADA, interface engineering, and power system studies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia.
