Job Summary
Litco Industries LLC is seeking an experienced Proposal & Estimation Engineer with a strong background in steel, metal, and aluminium fabrication and installation projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, tender submissions, and commercial proposals for fabrication and installation projects across the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Review RFQs, tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from architectural and structural drawings.
- Estimate project costs including materials, fabrication, finishing, transportation, installation, equipment, and manpower.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals within the specified deadlines.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, production, and project teams to ensure accurate costing.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and respond to technical and commercial clarifications.
- Maintain updated costing databases, productivity rates, and supplier pricing.
- Analyze project risks and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Support project handover to the execution team after project award.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of GCC experience in proposal and estimation for steel, metal, and aluminium fabrication and installation projects.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, site installation methods, and construction practices in the UAE/GCC.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Proficient in quantity take-off and cost estimation.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tender submission deadlines.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in structural steel, architectural metal works, aluminium fabrication, canopies, staircases, handrails, cladding, pergolas, and custom fabrication projects.
- Familiarity with UAE consultants, contractors, and tendering procedures.
Salary
AED 6,000 – AED 10,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications).
