As a Prompt Designer / Prompt Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, refining, testing, and optimizing prompts that help AI systems generate accurate, relevant, consistent, and high-quality outputs. You will work closely with product, content, data, and technical teams to translate business requirements into effective AI instructions and improve the overall quality of AI-powered experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design clear, structured, and goal-oriented prompts for AI applications and workflows.
- ✍️ Develop, test, and refine prompt templates to improve accuracy, relevance, consistency, and usability.
- Analyze AI-generated outputs and identify gaps, inconsistencies, hallucinations, and quality issues.
- Conduct systematic prompt testing and compare outputs across different scenarios and use cases.
- Translate complex business requirements into practical and effective AI instructions.
- Continuously optimize prompts based on evaluation results, user feedback, and changing requirements.
- Define quality criteria and contribute to prompt evaluation and benchmarking processes.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, analysts, content teams, and subject-matter experts.
- Maintain organized prompt libraries, documentation, guidelines, and reusable frameworks.
- Explore emerging AI techniques and contribute innovative ideas for improving AI interactions.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-assisted workflows.
- Excellent understanding of prompt engineering principles, instruction design, context management, and output formatting.
- ✍️ Exceptional written communication skills with strong command of language, structure, tone, and clarity.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to evaluate AI responses objectively.
- Ability to experiment with prompts, analyze results, and systematically improve outputs.
- Familiarity with AI tools, APIs, automation platforms, or basic programming concepts is a plus.
- Understanding of evaluation methods, quality metrics, and structured testing approaches is desirable.
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly.
- Curiosity, creativity, attention to detail, and a strong interest in emerging AI technologies.
