Job Description
The Role
As part of the Programme Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a landmark aviation project in Jeddah, the Project Technical Manager FM Technical Design Management will lead the coordination and integration of Facilities Management (FM) requirements into the design and delivery phases.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the integration of FM operational and technical requirements into multidisciplinary design outputs, ensuring alignment with project objectives and standards.
Manage the technical interface between the FM team, design consultants, and key stakeholders throughout all project phases.
Review, validate, and provide direction on FM-related technical submissions, including MEP, ELV, BMS, vertical transportation, and asset management systems.
Oversee the implementation of FM strategies related to maintainability, lifecycle cost optimisation, and digital asset management.
Develop and maintain FM design standards, guidelines, and review procedures in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Key Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering, or a closely related field.
12-15+ years of experience in technical design management with a focus on FM, preferably within large-scale aviation, healthcare, or complex infrastructure projects.
Proven experience in PMC or client-representative roles.
Strong background in building services design, FM operations, and asset lifecycle planning.
Key Knowledge and Skills
Expert knowledge of FM principles, maintainability standards, and international codes (e.g., SFG
20, ASHRAE, ISO 41001, GACA).
Familiarity with CAFM/CMMS platforms and BIM integration for FM.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
