We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Center Manager to guide us in establishing a cutting-edge data center warehousing facility. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of a new venture and play a pivotal role in its planning, design, and implementation.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of data center operations, infrastructure, and best practices, and will provide strategic insights to ensure a successful setup.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Advise on the design, layout, and requirements for setting up a data center, including space, power, cooling, and security considerations.
Infrastructure Development: Collaborate with contractors and vendors to source and implement data center infrastructure such as racks, cooling systems, power supply, and backup solutions.
Technology Consultation: Recommend hardware, software, and network configurations suitable for data center warehousing and storage needs.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure the setup complies with industry standards, local regulations, and certifications like ISO 27001, TIA-942, or Uptime Institute standards.
Operations Management: Develop processes for monitoring, maintenance, and disaster recovery to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
Cost Analysis: Assist in budget planning, vendor negotiations, and operational cost estimation.
Team Building: Recruit and manage a team to support ongoing operations, including IT technicians and maintenance staff.
Knowledge Sharing: Provide regular updates and documentation to educate the leadership team about data center best practices and operational needs.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in managing or setting up data centers or large-scale IT facilities.
In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, power distribution, cooling systems, and network architectures.
Familiarity with industry standards, compliance requirements, and certifications.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple vendors and stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficiency and scalability.
Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud-based and hybrid data center models.
Knowledge of emerging trends in data storage, virtualization, and green energy solutions.
Familiarity with warehousing operations and logistics.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED10,000.00 – AED50,000.00 per month
