Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Traffic Systems / Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to lead the successful delivery of major traffic infrastructure and smart mobility projects across the UAE.
The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project management
, including planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, resource management, installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
This is a senior project leadership opportunity for professionals with strong experience in traffic systems, ITS, ELV, smart mobility, and large-scale transportation infrastructure projects
.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver Traffic Systems and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) projects from initiation through completion.
- Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and execution.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, government authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Manage installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of traffic systems.
- Ensure project activities comply with approved specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor project progress, risks, costs, resources, and schedule performance.
Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Prepare project reports, progress updates, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Maintain effective communication with key project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure timely completion, handover, documentation, and successful project closure.
- Drive project performance while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering
, or a related discipline. - 10+ years of professional experience
, with significant exposure to traffic systems, ITS, ELV, smart mobility, or transportation infrastructure. - Minimum 8 years of experience in Traffic Systems / ITS / ELV / Smart Mobility projects
. - Minimum 2 years of experience managing large-scale traffic infrastructure projects
. - Strong knowledge of traffic systems and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
- Proven experience managing projects from planning and execution through testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Strong project management, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- UAE traffic authority and/or government project experience is highly preferred.
- UAE experience of 5+ years is preferred.
