Job Overview
To lead and manage the full lifecycle of Initiatives, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and time objectives. The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in executing the Initiatives Management process, driving strategic execution, and leading the continuous improvement of initiative planning and execution frameworks across the organization.
Key Responsibilities Vision, Mission and Strategy Alignment
Translate and execute Initiatives Management strategies in alignment with broader Operations and business strategies.
Provide leadership and direction to project teams to ensure strategic goals are met.
Scope of Role
Lead end to end Project and Initiatives Management for current operations and future Goody product range expansions.
Ensure systematic and timely execution of multiple, concurrent complex projects.
Serve as a subject matter expert in Project Management and Operations interface, driving education and continuous process improvement across teams.
Drive executional excellence in complex new product initiatives across quality, cost, and time targets.
Project Management Execution
Define and align project objectives and scope with stakeholders.
Lead project planning, resource allocation, feasibility assessments, and scheduling.
Oversee execution, change control, risk management, and regular project reviews.
Ensure proactive stakeholder communication and cross functional alignment.
Strategic Initiative Delivery
Lead execution of strategic, cross functional projects within the Initiatives Management domain.
Align initiative execution with business transformation and growth strategies.
New Product Development Execution
Lead project teams in launching new products, from supplier identification through to quality qualification and market launch.
Drive cross functional coordination across formula/packaging development, sourcing, quality, logistics, and market planning functions.
Ensure the structured delivery of product innovations using phase in/phase out and qualification processes.
Operational Excellence
Implement robust project management governance for all initiatives.
Oversee delivery of sourcing, design, and quality components in accordance with project milestones.
Ensure initiatives are delivered within agreed parameters of cost, quality, and timing.
Lead tracking, root cause analysis, and mitigation planning for project delays and deviations.
Maintain and report on Initiatives Management KPIs to ensure visibility and accountability.
Systems, Reporting, and Compliance
Maintain up to date initiatives data and dashboards, driving data led decision making.
Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of departmental reports in compliance with company standards.
Ensure all activities align with safety, quality, and environmental management policies, supporting a culture of compliance and accountability.
- Set clear performance objectives, offer necessary support, and regularly evaluate and provide feedback on direct reports’ performance.
- Actively participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent for the function.
- Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor workflow.
- Create opportunities for team members to contribute to improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of experience in market planning, brand management, or marketing strategy, with a strong background in the food or FMCG sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; PMP certificate is a plus.
- Strong experience in market planning, brand strategy, or marketing management, ideally in the food or FMCG industry.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful market strategies.
- Familiarity with market research techniques and tools.
