Cinergie Digital is seeking a driven and technically fluent Project Manager to embed within the IT Innovation and Partnership team of a major global airline in Dubai. This isn't a traditional PM role — you'll be at the front edge of the organisation's technology agenda, owning a continuous pipeline of Proof of Concept launches and shepherding emerging technology ideas from whiteboard to working prototype. You'll operate where innovation strategy meets execution reality, coordinating across internal stakeholders, external technology partners, and leadership — all within a fast-moving agile environment where GenAI, cloud sandboxes, and API-driven integrations are the everyday vocabulary.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own the end-to-end delivery of digital transformation and AI-driven technology initiatives across the full project lifecycle
- Maintain a structured and consistent POC pipeline throughout the year — from ideation and scoping through to pilot and handover
- Manage cross-functional stakeholders across IT, business, and innovation teams, keeping everyone aligned and accountable
- Coordinate with external technology partners — including hyperscalers like AWS and Microsoft as well as specialised AI vendors — to drive technical implementations forward
- Oversee and manage dedicated cloud sandbox environments used for innovation testing and prototyping
- Translate complex technical requirements and project status into clear, concise communications for senior leadership and non-technical departments
- Lead the planning, coordination, and full execution of large-scale technology events and internal hackathons, driving both internal engagement and external partnership development
- Maintain project governance standards within agile frameworks (Scrum or Kanban), ensuring structured delivery without stifling innovation velocity
Must-Have Skills
- 5–7 years of project management experience with a clear track record in digital transformation or technology innovation programmes
- Hands-on proficiency with Scrum or Kanban in environments where POC timelines are short and requirements evolve quickly
- Demonstrated experience managing external technology vendors and partners through complex technical deliveries
- Technical literacy across Generative AI concepts, cloud environments, and API integrations — you don't need to build it, but you need to own the conversation
- Exceptional stakeholder communication skills — comfortable in a boardroom presenting to leadership and equally comfortable in a stand-up with engineers
- Proven experience planning and executing hackathons or large-scale technology events
Good to Have
- Prior experience in the airline, aviation, or travel sector — understanding the operational context here makes a real difference
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms in an enterprise setting
- Exposure to AI/ML project delivery or GenAI pilot programmes
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
