Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage projects across fit-out, commercial buildings, retail stores, office buildings, and related contracting works. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, execution, cost control, contractor coordination, quality, HSE compliance, and timely completion of projects.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in fit-out, construction, contracting, or engineering projects, with proven supervisory or managerial experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage projects from initiation through completion, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Prepare project schedules, manpower plans, material requirements, and resource allocations.
- Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, project scope, and technical documents before execution.
- Coordinate engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Monitor project progress, budget, quality, schedule, and resource utilization.
- Identify delays, risks, cost overruns, and technical issues and take corrective action.
- Manage variations, additional works, quotations, and cost implications.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure proper workmanship and project execution.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance against project requirements.
- Review material submissions, method statements, quotations, and technical proposals.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, HSE requirements, permits, and safe work practices.
- Coordinate project-related maintenance issues where required for site readiness and business continuity.
- Coordinate with clients, tenants, consultants, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Maintain complete project documentation, including drawings, approvals, quotations, variations, inspection reports, warranties, and handover documents.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in project management, construction, fit-out, contracting, or engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
- Experience in fit-out, retail stores, commercial buildings, office buildings, or contracting projects is highly preferred.
- Qatar/GCC experience will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, site coordination, cost control, and contractor management.
- Good communication, leadership, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Professional project management or engineering certification is an advantage.
