About the job
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from initiation to completion. The successful candidate will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with client requirements and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Client Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinating weekly site visits and attending meetings to ensure client satisfaction and resolve disputes.
Coordinate and participate in contract negotiations with clients, ensuring project terms align with company objectives.
Monitor the master document register and provide information to clients, following up with project teams as necessary.
Project Planning and Execution:
Lead the commencement and planning of projects, ensuring technical feasibility and resource availability and allocation.
Develop a detailed plan to monitor and track project progress, communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure smooth project progress, conducting meetings as required.
Risk Management and Documentation:
Perform risk management analysis to identify and mitigate project risks, escalating issues to upper management as needed.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including materials quotations, method statements, and risk assessments.
Coordinate with NOC team to arrange required documentation for site execution, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Team Management:
Supervise and lead the civil department team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as needed.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring workload distribution and efficient project execution.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members to promote professional growth and development.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the civil department, encouraging teamwork and effective communication.
Address any issues or conflicts within the team promptly and effectively, striving to maintain high morale and productivity.
Identify training needs and opportunities for skill development within the civil department team, organizing relevant training sessions or workshops as necessary.
Performance Measurement and Improvement:
Manage relationships between clients, subcontractors, and project teams, ensuring smooth project execution and timely resolution of issues.
Measure project performance using appropriate project management tools, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Review materials quotations and finalize budgets based on project requirements and timelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 15 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in civil and electrical engineering in UAE.
Proven experience in running TAQA Distribution projects with an TAQA approved status.
In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing budgets, timelines, and client expectations in large-scale construction projects.
