Job Title: Fire Alarm Site Technician
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Fire Alarm Site Technician with a strong background in the installation of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting. The ideal candidate will have minimum 2 years of hands-on experience, particularly in industrial or large-scale projects. This role requires both technical expertise and a proactive, quality-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, and test fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional) in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
Install and commission emergency lighting systems, ensuring coverage, visibility, and compliance with safety standards.
Perform system checks, loop testing, cable routing, and device addressing.
Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation plans accurately.
Coordinate effectively with engineers, site supervisors, and other trades.
Ensure proper installation of control panels, detectors, sounders, beacons, manual call points, and interfaces.
Assist in pre-commissioning, final testing, and handover documentation.
Troubleshoot system faults, perform maintenance, and support rectification works.
Comply with NFPA, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and other relevant standards and regulations.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in installing and maintaining fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
Strong knowledge of addressable fire alarm systems and their programming basics.
Familiarity with civil defense requirements and industrial project environments (factories, warehouses, oil & gas, etc.).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively within a team.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and commitment to high-quality work.
Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills and a safety-first mindset.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Certification in Fire Alarm System Installation
Experience in system integration with HVAC, BMS, and firefighting panels
Knowledge in structured cabling and electrical safety practices
