Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager – Architectural Metal Works to lead and manage large-scale architectural metal works projects from contract award through final handover. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining excellent client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
- Manage complete project lifecycle from award to final handover.
- Review contracts, specifications, BOQs, drawings, and project requirements.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Monitor project milestones and implement recovery plans when required.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Client & Consultant Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Attend project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Manage RFIs, approvals, technical clarifications, and payment follow-ups.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
Engineering & Technical Coordination
- Oversee preparation and approval of shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Coordinate design revisions, value engineering proposals, and as-built documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and approved designs.
Procurement & Production Coordination
- Monitor procurement activities and material delivery schedules.
- Coordinate fabrication operations including laser cutting, CNC machining, welding, coating, painting, assembly, packing, and dispatch.
- Ensure production priorities align with project schedules.
Site Management
- Plan and supervise installation activities, manpower deployment, logistics, inspections, and handover processes.
- Manage snagging, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
Commercial & Cost Control
- Monitor project budgets, costs, profitability, and cash flow.
- Manage variations, claims, subcontractors, and invoicing.
- Ensure achievement of project financial targets.
Quality, Risk & HSE Management
- Identify and mitigate project risks related to schedule, procurement, design, safety, and commercial performance.
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, approved specifications, and applicable building codes.
- Implement HSE plans, toolbox talks, permit systems, PPE compliance, and incident reporting procedures.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor engineers, supervisors, and project coordinators.
- Allocate resources effectively and conduct performance reviews.
- Foster teamwork and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
- PMP Certification preferred.
- Primavera P6 Certification is an advantage.
- OSHA / NEBOSH Certification is desirable.
Experience Requirements
- 10–15 years of experience in Architectural Metal Works.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager.
- GCC / Saudi Arabia project experience preferred.
- Proven track record managing projects valued above SAR 20 Million.
Technical Skills
- Architectural metal works and fire-rated door systems.
- Sheet metal fabrication and stainless steel works.
- Structural and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Planning, cost control, contracts administration, and project reporting.
- ERP systems, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
