Overview:
We are seeking a skilled IT Specialist to manage and maintain our company’s infrastructure, focusing on server setup, firewall administration, CCTV cameras, biometrics, and overall network security. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling a variety of IT tasks with a strong emphasis on system reliability, data security, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
1. Server Setup and Maintenance:
– Install, configure, and maintain servers (both physical and virtual environments).
– Monitor server performance and ensure availability and reliability.
– Perform routine audits of systems and software.
2. Firewall and Network Security:
– Design, implement, and maintain firewall configurations to protect the network.
– Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and security breaches.
– Conduct regular security assessments and implement appropriate measures.
3. CCTV Cameras and Biometrics:
– Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras for surveillance purposes.
– Manage biometric systems for access control and attendance monitoring.
– Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CCTV and biometric systems.
4. Infrastructure Support:
– Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
– Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
– Ensure proper backup and recovery procedures are in place and tested regularly.
5. Documentation and Compliance:
– Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
– Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
– Implement best practices for data integrity, security, and disaster recovery.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
– Proven experience as an IT Specialist with expertise in server administration, network security, and infrastructure management.
– Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VPNs, VLANs, and other network technologies.
– Experience with firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks).
– Familiarity with CCTV systems, biometric devices, and access control mechanisms.
– Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
– Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
– Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Security+, CISSP) are a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED5,000.00 – AED6,000.00 per month
