Role Responsibilities:
- Supervise the activities of assigned contracted personnel/workers to ensure that their work is carried out correctly and to the required standards
- Maintain safe work environment
- Maintain all manpower and machinery daily records and supplying all the production relate data to superior, maintain timesheets
- Supplying reports on daily production
- Leading the team in the field, motivate them to work and extract the optimum output
- Check with supervisor for morning schedule and Assigning manpower and equipment to the requisite work in every morning
- Liaise with other sections involved in the work, Providing Tool Box Talks every morning
- Create and maintain a safe work environment
- Inform technicians in case of breakdown of any equipment
- Inform superintendent about the requirement of all material required at site in advance
- Take ownership for the safety of all the workers in the team
- Report all near misses
- Give clear directions and guidance to the workers as to what needs to be done to avoid any mistake or repetitive works
- Ensure that all workers have appropriate tools and equipment needed for the job
- Evaluate quickest and easiest way to complete a task without sacrificing quality and safety
- Hold the weekly jobsite safety meeting and keep a record of it in the log for future references
- Inform supervisor regularly about the daily production at site.
- Identify hazards
- Obtain information from HSE Department
- Make recommendations to HSE Department
- Investigate Incidents
Educational Qualifications:
- Secondary School Certificate with a discipline specific technical qualification or equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum 06 years' experience in similar roles and industries
- Infrastructure, marine and Civil Works experience
- Marine and civil construction (Quay Wall, Breakwater, revetment, etc.)
- Ability to work several nationalities
- Knowledge of Loader and other heavy equipment
- Understanding of computerized controls and electronics
