About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. Working closely with Project Managers, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams, you will help coordinate engineering activities, monitor project progress, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction and engineering activities.
- Monitor project progress to ensure work is completed according to approved plans, specifications, and project timelines.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site inspections to verify quality, safety, and compliance with project requirements.
- Review engineering drawings, technical documents, and material submittals for accuracy and compliance.
- Support procurement activities by assisting with the sourcing of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Track project costs, budgets, resource utilisation, and progress, reporting potential risks or delays to project management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements, as well as company standards.
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, progress updates, and meeting records.
- Assist in resolving technical issues, design changes, and construction challenges to maintain project schedules.
- Support project handover activities, including inspections, testing, commissioning, and final documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality construction and infrastructure projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Construction, or a related engineering discipline.
- Previous experience in construction, infrastructure, or large-scale development projects is preferred.
- Good understanding of project management principles, construction methods, and engineering standards.
- Proficiency with engineering and project management software such as AutoCAD, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar applications.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced project environment.
- Familiarity with Saudi building regulations and international quality and safety standards is an advantage.
