Project Engineer – Interior Fit-Out Projects

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Engineer (Civil) with a strong background in interior fit-out projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete execution and management of the project, ensuring delivery within schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements while maintaining effective client coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the project from initiation to handover, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client and coordinate all project-related communications.
- Develop, monitor, and update project schedules and resource plans.
- Track project costs, monitor budgets, and implement cost-control measures.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.
- Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation measures.
- Prepare and present progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and management updates.
- Manage variations, change orders, procurement activities, and project documentation.
- Lead project meetings and ensure timely resolution of technical and commercial issues.
- Ensure successful project closeout and client handover.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in construction projects, with at least 5 years in interior fit-out projects.
- Proven experience managing projects and dealing directly with clients.
- Strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and project execution.
- Experience managing consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of fit-out construction methodologies, finishes, MEP coordination, and site management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and client management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of project delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Qatar or GCC countries.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is an advantage.
- Valid driving license preferred.
