Position: Â Project Engineer – Head Office (HO) and Fabrication Yard (FAB)
Overview:
The Project Engineer – HO / FAB is responsible for managing and coordinating engineering activities related to both Head Office (HO) and Fabrication Yard (FAB) project phases. This role involves overseeing design, planning, and execution stages to ensure that all project deliverables meet technical standards, quality, schedule, and budgetary requirements. The Project Engineer works closely withmultidisciplinaryteams, including design, procurement, construction, andquality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate engineering activities between Head Office and Fabrication Yard, ensuring alignment of design, planning, and execution strategies.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor project progress against established baselines.
Review and approve design documents, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and codes.
Facilitatecommunicationandcollaborationbetween different project stakeholders, including designers, contractors, and vendors, to resolve technical issues.
Oversee fabrication activities, ensuring that work is executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.
Conduct site visits and inspections at the Fabrication Yard to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety compliance.
Identify and mitigate risks related to project execution, providing timely solutions to prevent project delays and cost overruns.
Prepare and present progress reports, status updates, and technical documentation toproject managementand clients.
Manage change orders and variations, ensuring that any modifications to scope are documented, assessed for impact, and approved by relevant stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field).
Certifications / Specialization / IT Skills:
PMP Certification or equivalent is preferred.
Proficient inproject managementsoftware (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and AutoCAD.
Years of Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience in project engineering roles, with experience in both office and fabrication yard environments within the oil and gas or construction industry.
Technical Knowledge:
Fabrication and Construction Processes:Strong understanding of fabrication, assembly, and construction processes, including knowledge of welding,material handling, andquality controltechniques.
Project Coordination and Management:Experience in coordinatingmultidisciplinaryteams, managing schedules, and ensuring project deliverables meet quality, safety, and budgetary requirements.
