Job Summary:
One of our clients in Abu Dhabi is looking for MEP, LV & ELV Technician. The MEP, LV & ELV Technician will be responsible for the testing, configuration, commissioning, and maintenance of critical building infrastructure. This role ensures the flawless integration, operation, and safety of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems—including power distribution and emergency backup—alongside Building Management Systems (BMS), Access Control Systems (ACS), and CCTV surveillance.
The role will also include the design of preventative maintenance tasks and execution and supervision of these maintenance activities at multiple sites around the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- MEP,Power Distribution&Generation
- Install,test,andcommissionMEPsystemsperapprovedconstructiondrawingsandprojectspecifications.
- Operate,maintain,andtroubleshootLVSwitchgearcomponents,including
Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs),Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCBs),busbars,andprotectionrelays.
- Performroutinetesting,loadbanktesting,andpreventativemaintenanceondieselgeneratorsand
Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS),Synchronizationand Cyclic Duty Changeover Panelsetc .
- Troubleshoot,wire,andmodifyelectricalcontrolpanels(suchasfuelcontrolpanels,starterpanels,HVACcontrolpanels,anddistributionboards).
- Execute Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) acrossplumbing,electricalcircuits,andmechanicalunits(e.g.,HVAC,pumps,generators).
- Interpretcomplexschematics,wiring diagrams,and blueprints.
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- ConfigureandcommissionBMShardwareandsoftwareforoptimalenergyefficiency,buildingmanagementandclimatecontrol.
- IntegrateMEPequipmentandelectricalpanelsintotheBMSnetworktoensurecentralizedmonitoringandcontrol.
- Troubleshootsystemcommunicationfaults,sensorcalibrations,andautomationsequences.
- Access Control Systems (ACS)&CCTVSurveillance
- Install,configure,andcommissionIP-basedCCTVcameras,NVRs/DVRs,andvideomanagementsoftware.
- Programandtest Access Control panels ,cardreaders,biometrics,andelectronicdoorlocks.
- Performroutinediagnostics,softwareupdates,andhardwarerepairsandmaintenancetoensurephysicalsecuritysystemsremainfullyoperational.
- General Duties&Commissioning
- Conductend-to-endtestingandcommissioningofallintegratedsystemsbeforefinalprojecthandoverincludinggenerationofandkeepingaccuraterecordsandbuildhistory.
- Maintainaccuratetechnicallogs,servicereports,andas-built documentation.
- Respondrapidlytosystembreakdownsandperformemergencytroubleshooting.
- Adherestrictlytolocalsafetyregulations,building codes,and lockout/tagout(LOTO) protocols.
- Designandimplementationofroutinepreventativemaintenanceof Security,ACS,BMS,Primary and Standbygeneratorsetc.
Requirements:
- Minimumof3–5yearsofhands onexperienceinMEPinstallation,power distribution(LVpanels/generators),andLowVoltage(LV) systems.
Regulatory Compliance:
DeepworkingknowledgeofDEWARegulationsfor Electrical Installationsand /orAbu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE/ADDC)
Electricity Wiring Regulations .Certifications(Highly Preferred):oOEMCertificationsfrommajormanufacturersforBMS,ACS,andCCTVplatforms(e.g.,Honeywell,Schneider Electric,Siemens,Bosch,Hanwha Vision,Hikvision,orsimilar).oValidADQCC(Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council ) certificateforelectricians/techniciansoratrackrecordofpassingDEWAtechnicalexamsisamajoradvantage.
