Job Description:
SIGMA CONTRACTING & TRADING W.L.L. in Qatar is seeking a qualified and experienced Project Engineer – Civil with strong expertise in Aluminium, Curtain Wall, Cladding and Façade works to join its project team in Doha, Qatar.
The ideal candidate will coordinate overall project execution, support the Project Manager, and manage Site Engineers, subcontractors and project resources to ensure façade works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with approved technical and quality requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate overall Aluminium, Curtain Wall, Cladding and Façade project execution and support the Project Manager in achieving project milestones.
- Manage and coordinate Site Engineers, Foremen, subcontractors, suppliers and site resources.
- Monitor project progress against the approved programme and identify delays, constraints and required recovery actions.
- Review and coordinate architectural, structural and façade drawings, shop drawings, specifications, method statements and technical requirements.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, fabrication, deliveries and subcontractor requirements to maintain continuous work progress.
- Coordinate façade interfaces with structure, waterproofing, MEP, architectural finishes and other trades.
- Monitor installation and workmanship of curtain wall, aluminium doors and windows, ACP/cladding, glazing, louvers, screens and associated façade systems.
- Coordinate with Client/Consultant representatives and internal QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Technical, Procurement and Commercial teams.
- Monitor productivity, quality, safety and subcontractor performance and ensure timely corrective action.
- Review material requirements, quantities, procurement status and delivery schedules to support project execution.
- Coordinate mock-ups, inspections, testing, snagging, rectification and handover activities.
- Participate in progress and coordination meetings and prepare progress reports, look-ahead plans, action trackers and project updates.
- Assist the Project Manager in resolving technical issues, RFIs, site constraints, variations and coordination matters.
- Ensure project documentation, inspections, testing records and as-built requirements are properly maintained.
- Support the Project Manager in achieving project schedule, quality, safety and commercial objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering / Architectural Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of relevant construction experience, with strong experience in Aluminium, Curtain Wall, Cladding or Façade projects.
- Proven experience in coordinating façade construction and site execution.
- Strong technical understanding of curtain wall systems, aluminium works, cladding, glazing, ACP, louvers and associated façade systems.
- Experience coordinating Site Engineers, Foremen, subcontractors and specialist façade contractors.
- Good knowledge of façade shop drawings, installation methods, interfaces, tolerances, sealants, waterproofing and finishing requirements.
- Good knowledge of project planning, construction sequencing, resource management, QA/QC and HSE requirements.
- Ability to review drawings, specifications, method statements and technical submissions.
- Strong leadership, coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Previous GCC/Qatar experience is highly preferred.
- Eligibility for Qatar engineering registration is preferred.

- Shortlisted candidates will undergo technical and management interviews.
- Previous Qatar/GCC experience is highly preferred, but candidates with strong and relevant façade experience will also be considered.
