Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to manage the day-to-day technical and site delivery of fit-out, renovation, MEP, and maintenance projects across Abu Dhabi and the UAE — from mobilization through to handover. The role covers site supervision, programme control, BOQ and cost management, procurement coordination, and consultant/client liaison.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise assigned projects on site, ensuring works are executed per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Coordinate and control subcontractors, site engineers, foremen, and labour to meet daily and weekly targets.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and resolve site discrepancies with the consultant.
- Prepare, monitor, and update project programmes/schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6, and produce daily/weekly/monthly progress reports, look-aheads, and S-curves.
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and quantity take-offs, including the use of the UAE Schedule of Rates (SOR) where applicable.
- Support tendering and estimation with measurements, pricing input, and subcontractor comparisons.
- Manage variations, site instructions, and claims; assist in preparing progress payment applications.
- Prepare material and technical submittals for consultant/client approval; raise procurement requests, obtain quotations, and coordinate timely delivery to site.
- Enforce HSE requirements and implement QA/QC procedures, including inspection requests (IRs) and quality records.
- Act as a technical point of contact with consultants and clients during meetings and inspections, and prepare RFIs, transmittals, and project correspondence.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, MEP/Mechanical/Electrical, or Architectural Engineering.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience as a Project/Site Engineer in the UAE contracting industry (fit-out, renovation, MEP, and/or maintenance experience strongly preferred).
- Solid knowledge of construction methods, MEP systems, and UAE authority/approval processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project and/or Primavera P6, and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Experience preparing BOQs and quantity take-offs, with familiarity in the UAE Schedule of Rates (SOR).
- Strong QA/QC and HSE knowledge, with excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
- Valid UAE driving licence preferred.
- Available to join immediately.
Preferred / Advantageous
- Experience on government / semi-government projects and with consultants such as Asteco or Provis.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Arabic and English communication skills.
Pay: AED9,000.00 – AED15,000.00 per month
