Job Description Project Engineer – Architectural Engineer ( Fit-Out)

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the execution of interior fit-out works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedule, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review and coordinate shop drawings prior to construction.
  • Coordinate architectural, MEP, and fire protection works to resolve clashes and ensure seamless integration.
  • Monitor daily site activities and ensure work progresses according to the approved project schedule.
  • Prepare and follow up on weekly and daily work plans.
  • Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical queries.
  • Review and monitor material submittals, shop drawings, and material samples to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Ensure all fit-out works comply with contract documents, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Supervise subcontractors and monitor their performance, productivity, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement Department to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Identify potential project risks and propose practical technical solutions.
  • Monitor variations and change orders, assessing their impact on project cost and schedule.
  • Attend project meetings and follow up on action items.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Assist in project cost control by monitoring resource utilization and minimizing material wastage.
  • Participate in inspections, snagging, punch list preparation, and final project handover.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up to date, and properly maintained.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and HSE regulations.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Interior Fit-Out or turnkey construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of fit-out materials, construction methods, and finishing works.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project activities simultaneously.
