Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the execution of high-profile real estate construction projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong contractor background, extensive experience in delivering residential and hospitality projects, and a deep understanding of FIDIC contracts. This role requires exceptional stakeholder management skills, the ability to manage
multidisciplinary
teams, and a
proven track record
of delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning to handover, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Manage and coordinate contractors, consultants, and internal project teams to ensure efficient project execution. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, government authorities, investors, and other key stakeholders. Implement and enforce FIDIC contract management principles, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
Drive value engineering and cost
optimization
strategies while maintaining high-quality standards. Ensure all projects comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues proactively to prevent delays or cost overruns. Lead, mentor, and develop
multidisciplinary
teams to foster
collaboration
and performance excellence. Report project progress, challenges, and financial status to
senior management
and stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 18+ years of experience in construction
project management
, with at least 4 years in a
seniorleadershiprole
in the UAE. Strong background in contracting, with experience managing major real estate developments. Proven expertise in FIDIC contracts and international construction standards. Excellent stakeholder management and
communication skills
, with experience in liaising with government entities, investors, and clients.
Experience leading
multidisciplinary
teams, including engineers, architects, and consultants. Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, cash flows, and project costs. Demonstrated ability to deliver high-end residential and hospitality projects in the region. Strong
problem-solving skills
, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications such as PMP, RICS, or CIOB are advantageous. Previous experience working with large-scale UAE-based developers or contractors. Strong understanding of UAE construction regulations and permitting processes.
