Job Summary
Aqua Bridge Group is recruiting a meticulous and proactive Health and Safety Engineer to ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards across our operations. The ideal candidate will possess 3–5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably within the UAE, and hold ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) certifications. This role requires expertise in risk assessment, safety audits, and UAE/Saudi Arabia regulatory compliance to foster a culture of safety and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
1.
HSE Compliance & Policy Implementation
o
Develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies in line with UAE/Saudi Arabia regulations and ISO standards.
o
Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions.

Training & Awareness
o
Organize HSE training programs (e.g., fire safety, emergency response, PPE usage) for employees and contractors.
o
Promote safety awareness through workshops, posters, and toolbox talks.
3.
Incident Management
o
Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents, and prepare detailed reports with preventive recommendations.
o
Maintain records of incidents and ensure timely reporting to authorities as required.
4.
Regulatory Compliance
o
Liaise with UAE government authorities (e.g., Dubai Municipality, DED) for permits, inspections, and compliance documentation.
o
Stay updated on UAE labor laws, HSE regulations, and international standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA).
5.
ISO Certification Maintenance
o
Lead internal and external audits for ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other relevant certifications.
o
Ensure continuous improvement of HSE management systems.
6.
Emergency Preparedness
o
Develop and test emergency response plans (e.g., fire drills, evacuation procedures).
o
Coordinate with emergency services and onsite medical teams.
Qualifications
Education:
•
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Engineering, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
•
3–5 years of hands-on HSE experience, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
•
Proven track record in managing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
Certifications:
•
Mandatory: NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent.
•
Preferred: ISO 45001/14001 Lead Auditor, OSHA 30-Hour, or IOSH certifications.
Skills:
•
In-depth knowledge of UAE/Saudi Arabia HSE regulations
•
Proficiency in HSE software, risk assessment tools, and MS Office.
•
Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
•
Excellent communication in English (Arabic is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications:
•
Experience in construction, hospitality, or real estate sectors.
•
Familiarity with environmental sustainability practices.
