As we expand our presence in Qatar, we are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our finance team in Doha and support the financial management of key projects.
Position Overview
The Project Accountant will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting project financial performance. This role ensures that project budgets, costs, and revenues are accurately managed and aligned with organizational goals, while supporting project managers with timely financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage project budgets, costs, and financial performance
- Prepare project financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Track project expenses and ensure accurate cost allocation
- Support project billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition processes
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial compliance and control
- Maintain accurate project accounting records and documentation
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing for project-related accounts
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support financial optimization
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in project accounting or related finance roles
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and project costing
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and coordination skills
