About CMS and Related Agreements
The Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) is a global treaty focused on conserving migratory species and their habitats. It supports various intergovernmental instruments, including the Secretariat for agreements like ASCOBANS, AEWA, and EUROBATS, which are co-located in Bonn, Germany. The Dugong MOU Secretariat manages a four-year project funded by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) to enhance seagrass meadow conservation across Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Timor-Leste, aiming to integrate ecosystem services into policies and business models.
CMS Office – Abu Dhabi oversees the Dugong MOU on the conservation of dugongs and their habitats.

Position Details
This position is within the CMS Dugong MOU Secretariat in Abu Dhabi, available for the remaining one year of the project that began on 1 January 2019. The role is subject to performance evaluation. Under the supervision of the Executive Coordinator of CMS Office – Abu Dhabi and the Dugong Project Director, the incumbent will perform the following functions:
