Position: Production Operations Specialist (Petroleum)
Provide specialist production engineering and operational support to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of oil and gas production facilities. Optimize production performance through effective surveillance, operational excellence, and collaboration with Subsurface, Reservoir Engineering, Maintenance, Integrity, and HSE teams to maximize production uptime, asset availability, and hydrocarbon recovery while ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards.
Key Accountabilities Production Operations & Optimization
- Monitor and optimize production operations to maximize hydrocarbon recovery, production efficiency, and facility availability.
- Analyze production performance, operating parameters, and process constraints to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and optimize operating procedures, production surveillance programs, and operating envelopes for production facilities.
- Support production forecasting and daily production planning in coordination with Reservoir Engineering and Petroleum Engineering teams.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining safe and environmentally compliant operations.
- Monitor well and facility performance using real-time production data and surveillance systems.
- Evaluate production losses, downtime, bottlenecks, and equipment performance, recommending corrective actions to improve operational efficiency.
- Analyze production KPIs, including production efficiency, deferment, equipment availability, plant utilization, and operational reliability.
- Prepare production reports, dashboards, and performance analyses for management review.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate closely with Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Drilling, Maintenance, Asset Integrity, and Operations teams to optimize field development and production strategies.
- Support well intervention, workover, startup, shutdown, and commissioning activities.
- Participate in integrated asset management initiatives to improve field performance and production sustainability.
- Lead or participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce production losses and improve operational reliability.
- Support the deployment of new production technologies, digital oilfield initiatives, automation systems, and production optimization tools.
- Identify opportunities for operational excellence, process optimization, and cost reduction.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC operational procedures, HSE policies, asset integrity requirements, and company management systems.
- Participate in Management of Change (MOC), HAZOP, HAZID, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Ensure production operations comply with ADNOC standards and applicable international industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline
. - Professional engineering certification or membership in a recognized engineering institution is desirable.
- 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas Production Operations
, preferably with ADNOC Group companies or major international operators. - Proven experience in onshore oil production facilities, gathering stations, separation plants, processing facilities, and field operations.
- Experience in production optimization, surveillance, operational readiness, and integrated asset management.
- Strong knowledge of production management systems, digital oilfield technologies, and operational performance monitoring.

- Experience working in remote desert onshore production facilities and integrated production operations environments.
