About the Role
Our client, a leading manufacturer in the Specialty Chemical industry, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead their manufacturing operations. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily plant operations to ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively while maintaining the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate will bring strong production leadership, process optimization expertise, and deep technical knowledge of Specialty Chemical manufacturing, aligning successfully with the organization’s operational and growth objectives.
About the Requirements
- Plan, schedule, and manage daily production operations to meet output, quality, safety, and delivery targets.
- Optimize utilization of production equipment to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Monitor and analyze production KPIs such as output, yield, scrap rate, downtime, and overall equipment efficiency (OEE), implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, production recipes, quality standards, and ISO requirements (ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
- Control production costs and support budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead, train, and supervise production teams to ensure safe operations and consistent manufacturing performance.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a Production Manager role within specialty chemical, plastics or polymer compounding.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and hands-on manufacturing process knowledge.
