Production Engineer – Chrome Plant Jobs in Doha, Qatar at Nakilat
Job Summary and Purpose
Apply technical engineering competency in chrome plant operations to assist Machinery Management in ensuring that the jobs assigned to the section are completed in a manner that complies with the job requirements and safety standards.
Accountabilities
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements in accordance with the integrated Management System Manual.
Execute all aspects of chrome plant operation, including but not limited to piston chroming and grinding.
Perform chrome plant operations such as pre-machining, welding sequences, machining before chroming, final inspections, and completing the grinding process for reconditioned pistons.
Ensure completion of Machinery work scope, including raising SCRs, MTOs, WCFs, issuing foreman chits to various departments, raising necessary PTWs, and TQRs or technical queries if required.
Instruct supervisors to carry out jobs and ensure compliance with all necessary documentation, including TQRs or technical queries related to job execution or scope variations.
Monitor and ensure job completion based on plan and budgeted man-hours, providing feedback to internal/external customers. Work schedule inputs will also consider internal customer inputs.
Participate in internal and external meetings as required.
Conduct briefings to Foremen, Supervisors, Workers, including subcontractors, and monitor compliance with safety, work instructions, and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ensure target production throughput rates or objectives are safely achieved by the team in line with section plans, KPIs, N-KOM values, and IMS system.

Internal : Manager, Head of Workshop & Afloat, Head of Afloat Repairs, Project Managers, Foremen, Supervisors, workers.
External : Clients, Sub-contractors, Service engineers, Surveyors, Financial Authorities
Purpose :
To supervise, guide, and enforce safe, productive, and quality work practices within work groups, ensuring compliance with safety, health, environment, quality, and security standards.
Qualifications, Experience, and Job Skills
Qualifications : A diploma or necessary training certificate in Marine engines chroming process or its equivalent.
Experience :
Minimum 5 years of experience in chrome plant operation with relevant certificates.
At least 2 years of chrome plant operating experience, including piston chroming and grinding, for diploma holders.
