Responsibilities:
Database Administration:
Manage and maintain our Oracle, SQL Server, and Mongo
DB databases.
Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including backups, replication, and patching.
Monitor database performance and identify bottlenecks foroptimization.
Implement and administer database security controls and access control mechanisms.
Troubleshoot database issues and resolve performance problems.
Data Security:
Develop and implement data security policies and procedures.
Configure and manage data encryption and other security measures.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Respond to data security incidents and breaches.
PerformanceOptimization:
Analyze database queries and identify opportunities foroptimization.
Tune database indexes and other parameters to improve performance.
Implement caching and other performanceoptimizationtechniques.
Collaborate with developers to optimize database schema and applications.
Other Responsibilities:
Stayup-to-dateon the latest database technologies and trends.
Document database procedures and workflows.
Train and mentor other IT staff on database-related topics.
Provide technical support to internal users and developers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience in database administration, ideally in a production environment.
Proven experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and Mongo
DB databases.
Experience with database security best practices, including encryption, access control, and auditing.
