Job Summary: The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing suppliers, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts and prices to ensure the company obtains the best materials and services at the highest quality and lowest possible cost. This role is vital in managing the supply chain and ensuring operational processes run smoothly without interruption.

Main Responsibilities

  • Research and Evaluation: Continuously search for new suppliers and vendors, and evaluate their products and services based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and prices with suppliers to ensure maximum value and minimize costs.
  • Management of Purchase Requests: Receive purchase requests from various departments and issue Purchase Orders, tracking them until delivery is completed.
  • Monitoring Supply: Track requests and determine delivery schedules, communicating with suppliers to resolve any issues related to delays or shortages.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the supplied materials and services meet the agreed specifications and standards before completing the acceptance process.
  • Relationship Management: Build strong and sustainable relationships with key suppliers to ensure priority treatment and resolve potential disputes.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Prepare regular reports on expenditures, volume of purchases, supplier performance, and analyze market trends to provide recommendations to management.
  • Internal Coordination: Collaborate with the inventory department and manage stock to ensure the availability of essential materials and avoid stockpiling, while coordinating with finance to monitor supplier payment schedules.
