Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically qualified Procurement Specialist with an engineering background, preferably in data centre or mission-critical infrastructure construction. The ideal candidate will support procurement operations for our upcoming data center projects, ensuring all materials and services align with technical requirements, budgets, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Support procurement activities for construction-related goods and services specific to data centre development.
Coordinate with engineering and project teams to understand technical specifications and project requirements.
Assist in sourcing qualified vendors and subcontractors, with a focus on power systems, cooling infrastructure, and telecom fit outs.
Prepare and issue purchase orders, RFQs, and procurement documentation in compliance with company policies.
Track deliveries, logistics, and supplier performance to ensure on-time availability of critical materials.
Conduct market research to identify competitive pricing and alternative suppliers for key items.
Help ensure compliance with local laws, data centre standards (e.g., Uptime, TIA-942), and internal quality protocols.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field)
3+ years of procurement experience, preferably in data centre or critical infrastructure construction
Familiarity with procurement procedures, construction materials, and vendor negotiations
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple procurement tasks under tight timelines
Proficiency in MS Office and procurement systems (ERP software is a plus)
Strong communication and coordination skills
Preferred:
Experience in the Gulf region or working on large-scale construction projects
Understanding of data centre infrastructure components
Bilingual (Arabic and English) preferred
