We are urgently seeking an experienced Procurement / Purchasing Manager to join our team and manage procurement activities for our interior fit-out projects across the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the complete procurement lifecycle, from supplier sourcing and negotiation to material delivery and coordination with project teams.
The role requires strong knowledge of interior fit-out and construction materials, excellent supplier management skills, and the ability to ensure timely procurement while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete procurement and purchasing process for interior fit-out projects, including sourcing, quotation comparison, negotiation, purchase order processing, and delivery coordination.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, and vendors across the UAE.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with new and existing suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, quality materials, and favorable commercial terms.
- Review project requirements, drawings, specifications, and material schedules to ensure accurate procurement planning.
- Prepare and manage procurement schedules aligned with project timelines and site requirements.
- Issue purchase orders, track approvals, and ensure proper documentation throughout the procurement process.
- Monitor material availability, market pricing, lead times, and supplier performance.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, designers, and site teams to understand material requirements and ensure timely delivery.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered according to approved specifications, quality standards, and project deadlines.
- Manage urgent procurement requirements and resolve supplier-related issues efficiently.
- Maintain an updated supplier and vendor database, including supplier performance records and pricing information.
- Support project cost control initiatives through effective sourcing, negotiation, and value engineering opportunities.
- Assist in identifying alternative materials and suppliers to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Conduct supplier meetings, factory visits, and site visits when required.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and maintain proper procurement records.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably within the interior fit-out, construction, contracting, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of interior fit-out materials, finishes, furniture, MEP-related items, and construction products.
- Proven experience in supplier sourcing, price negotiation, and vendor management.
- Strong knowledge of UAE suppliers and local market practices is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and understand project specifications, BOQs, and material requirements.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement-related software/ERP systems is an advantage.
- Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
- UAE experience is preferred.
