Job Title: Procurement Manager – Construction
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer with a strong background in construction projects. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience as a procurement manager within the construction sector, with a proven track record in ADNOC projects and the Abu Dhabi local market. The role involves overseeing the procurement process, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring the timely supply of materials and services critical to construction operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to optimize cost and efficiency.
Identify, assess, and establish long-term partnerships with reliable suppliers and subcontractors.
Manage the tendering process, including preparing RFQs, RFPs, and contract negotiations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement standards, and local regulations.
Collaborate with project teams to forecast material requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Monitor supplier performance and oversee contract execution to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
Manage procurement budgets and generate regular reports on cost savings and procurement activities.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with exposure to Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Procurement Engineer in the construction industry in Abu Dhabi.
Extensive experience in large-scale construction projects in the Gulf region, preferably in Abu Dhabi and ADNOC projects.
Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, construction materials, and supply chain management.
Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
