About the Role

As Procurement Manager at AI71, you’ll build and lead our procurement function—overseeing sourcing, purchasing, vendor management, and contract negotiations. You’ll drive cost-effective, compliant processes in close collaboration with finance, legal, and product teams. We’re looking for a hands-on builder who can move fast and deliver results.

Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy: Drive agile, cost-effective procurement aligned with business goals and rapid growth.

Supplier Management: Build scalable vendor partnerships, negotiate favourable terms, and ensure speed and flexibility in onboarding.

Contract & Compliance: Own contract lifecycle and ensure adherence to policies, regulations, and risk mitigation standards.

Inventory & Cost Control: Optimize inventory levels, prevent stock issues, and drive cost savings within budget.

Process Optimization: Automate and streamline procurement workflows to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.

Market Intelligence: Track supplier trends and market shifts to inform sourcing and purchasing decisions.

Collaboration: Partner with finance, legal, and operations to align procurement with business needs and enable smooth execution.

Reporting & Analysis: Deliver actionable insights via procurement metrics, supplier performance, and cost analyses.

Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a high-performing team, fostering growth, accountability, and excellence.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.

Experience: 6+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role. Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment preferred.

Required Skills

Vendor & Supplier Management: Strong experience in managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts to achieve favorable terms and pricing.

Budgeting & Cost Control: Proven ability to manage procurement budgets and control costs while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to assess supplier performance, market trends, and procurement needs.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively negotiate with suppliers and collaborate with internal teams.

Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with eProcurement tools or systems is a plus.

Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation, contracts, and compliance with procurement policies.
