The Procurement Expeditor plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of goods and services to support the organization’s operations. Responsibilities
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services while tracking purchase orders through procurement systems.
- Review purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms with vendors to achieve cost-effective purchasing solutions.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast future procurement requirements using data analysis and inventory management tools.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and ensure efficient procurement support.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly to maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and service.
- Prepare procurement reports, analyze key performance metrics, and present insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in developing and improving procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Stay informed of industry trends, supplier markets, and pricing fluctuations to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement strategies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen procurement and supply chain performance.
Qualifications
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency with procurement and ERP software for purchasing and inventory management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external suppliers.
- High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting is an advantage.
