Summary:
The Contract/Procurement Engineer will be responsible for managing the procurement process for Civil and MEP materials and services for the high-rise building projects to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery for construction projects.
Job Responsibility:
– Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify Civil and MEP material and service requirements.
– Source potential suppliers, obtain quotations, and negotiate pricing and terms.
– Evaluate supplier proposals and make recommendations based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
– Create and manage purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documents.
– Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
– Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers related to quality, delivery or pricing.
– Monitor and track procurement activity to identify potential cost savings and process improvements.
– Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies in MEP procurement.
Candidate Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
– Proven 10-12 years’ experience in high rise projects contracts and procurement, specifically in Civil and MEP materials and services.
– Strong negotiation and communication skills.
– Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
– Knowledge of FIDIC and procurement best practices and industry standards.
– Familiarity with Civil and MEP systems and construction processes.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.

2. Proficiency in procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiating, and vendor management
3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations regarding procurement processes

9. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Pay: AED10,000.00 – AED20,000.00 per month
