We are looking for a Procurement Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities related to construction projects, ensuring timely sourcing of materials and services while maintaining quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement process for construction materials, equipment, and services
- Analyze Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and technical specifications to support procurement decisions
- Prepare and manage Requests for Tender (RFTs), evaluate bids, and negotiate with suppliers and contractors
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement requirements are met within project timelines
- Evaluate contractor qualifications and monitor supplier performance
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Utilize ERP systems to process procurement transactions and monitor purchasing activities
- Conduct market research to identify qualified suppliers and competitive pricing
- Ensure purchased materials comply with project specifications, quality standards, and technical requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architecture
- 2–4 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably within the construction industry
- Experience working with construction companies and contractors
- Strong knowledge of BOQ analysis
- Experience with Request for Tender (RFT) processes
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Maxi or Oracle
- Knowledge of contractor classification and performance evaluation
- Good understanding of the Saudi construction market
- Familiarity with construction materials, technical specifications, and engineering requirements
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
