Procurement Engineer Jobs in Abu Dhabi at Al Raha metal product factory llc / Al Raha Mechanical Equipment WLL, Abu Dhabi
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 to 8 years of experience in procurement within the Oil & Gas industry, with a strong understanding of project requirements and procurement strategies. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing team, contributing to the success of major oil and gas projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning & Execution:
Organize and manage the procurement process for all projects, ensuring adherence to company and client requirements, policies, and procedures.
Collaboration & Coordination:
Interface with various departments and vendors regarding the procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
Project Procurement Strategy:
Develop and collaborate on procurement plans and execution strategies with Project Procurement Managers and Coordinators.
RFQs and PO Management:
Manage RFQs, commercial evaluations, PO awards, PO administration, and final delivery/close-out.
Vendor Management:
Maintain and develop a commercially sound vendor base. Continuously evaluate vendor performance and maintain an “Approved Vendor List.”
Market Analysis & Cost Control:
Monitor market conditions, price trends, and delivery schedules. Provide support for bid evaluations, cost controls, and cash flow planning related to project procurements.
Procurement Reporting:
Provide procurement reports and perform tasks as directed by the Project Manager or Department Head.
Team Development:
Identify training needs for the procurement team and conduct performance appraisals.
ERP Systems & Process Compliance:
Ensure procurement processes are efficiently managed within the company’s ERP system. Lead system upgrades and ensure compliance with ISO standards (9001, 45001, 14001) and Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE) responsibilities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Leadership:
Experience in establishing and managing a functional procurement team, workflows, and operating procedures.
Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge in procuring technical equipment and materials for the EPC industry.
Communication Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Decision-Making:
Ability to make informed, timely decisions under pressure.
ERP Systems Proficiency:
Experienced in working within ERP environments.
Negotiation Skills:
Effective negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Subcontract Administration:
Ability to function as a Purchasing Agent and Subcontract Administrator.
Minimum Qualifications:
Educational Qualification:
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) or Master’s in Business Administration with a specialization in Operations.
